Kinect Star Wars

by Joshua Zamora on January 22, 2012

LucasArts and Terminal reality have developed the Kinect Star Wars based game for Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect. It is an adventure game and T (teen) rated. The game features awesome graphics and the gameplay is almost realistic. No controller remotes are required and the character movements are controlled by user movements through motion sensing technology.

The Galaxy displayed in the game is very realistic and similar to that displayed in the movie. Almost all vehicles, space ships, droids and characters shown in the movie are present in the game.

Kinect Star Wars: Game Modes

Kinect Star Wars 300x1521 Kinect Star Wars In the Jedi mode the player is a Jedi and uses The Force with his left hand while the light saber is in the right hand. The best part of this mode is that two players can play as opponents or co operatives. The screen is equally divided for both player and both of them use motion sensing.

The primary objective of the game is to find and kill General Kota. The player has to choose either of the good or revenge ending. If good ending is chosen then Ceremonial Jedi Robes are acquired and if revenge ending is chosen then Sith Stalker Armor is acquired.

In the rancor rampage mode the player is an almighty rancor who has escaped Jabbas basement. The basic mission of this mode is that the rancor destroys the entire city. Performance during the mode is evaluated on the part of city destroyed. To destroy the city the player has to use the rancorĂs massive hands.

The player has to swing his hands and strike anything that comes in the way. The player can use 4 distinct Rancors across 4 different planets.

The latest addition is The Pod Racing mode in which the player races along the tracks set up across the planet of Tatooine. This mode allows two players to race at a time. The controlling is again through hands only. Pushing the hands forwards boosts the speed and turning is by extending one hand and drawing back the other hand for the respective turn.

There are eight tracks set up across the universe and hence pod racing in Kinect Star Wars promises even more fun.
